Again

Finally I seem to have a working computer. My old one just didn’t want to go anymore. The bad thing is I am a creature of habit and that is not related to age, at least in my case. I have never liked change, but when I was younger it was a bit easier to accept changes than it is now. So anyway, here’s hoping I can get the hang of this new computer and not make too many mistakes.

Of course as with most any thought I have, the thought of change created more thoughts. Not sure that makes any sense to anyone else but me, but it is just how my mind works.

Life is about change. Every day is a new day which creates more joys or more problems or both. One day things seem to run smoothly and another day is so chaotic you wonder what happened.

I also think of Christianity when I think of change. How much it can change a life. How much it should change your life. I know it sure has changed my life. Instead of a prayer now and then, that went something like *Oh Lord get me through this please*, I now pray often through the day and it begins with thanks to my Father for everything and then prayers for others who are in need. And they are many.

No matter how much I don’t like change it is inevitable. Every living thing on this earth changes, we can only hope it is for the better. Although that is not inevitable.

Back

Or should I say, kinda back. I would like to say I am back to stay, but that is not a very reasonable assumption at this time. I had my computer worked on, it was gone about a week, but it is still old and cranky. I am going to have to invest in another computer before too long. Although this one is working better than before, it still hiccups, and goes off and does it’s own thing when it can get away from me. Kinda like mischievous children. I am going to try and post as often as I can, but if I disappear again, it doesn’t mean I am gone forever.

She Knows No Other Way

~by Vicki~

From: Everyday Prayers

“Peaceful Rest”

How beautiful to watch a sleeping child!

With his arm wrapped gently around

his teddy bear and his thumb in his mouth,

he embodies peacefulness.

As I watch him, I a reminded that You’ve

promised peaceful rest to those in Your care.

Oh, how I thank You for this!

~ ~ ~

The sweet sleep of a child – the transformation to Perfect Peace.  She has been fed to fullness of joy, washed clean and clothed in pure white.  She is held in the arms of the one she trusts, although she cannot name the feeling.  Nor can she name the opposite feeling for she has never known it.

Are we not told to come to Him as a little child?

“Let the little children come to me, and to not hinder them,

for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.

I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the

kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.”

And He took the children in his arms, put His hands on them

and blessed them.

Mark 10: 14-16

We are held in His arms, and we trust.

~Peace~
